Latausha D. Kee

Latausha Denise Kee was born on November 25, 1975, in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of David and Donetta Kee. Her father, uncles, and aunts preceded her in death. At an early age, Latausha accepted Christ as her lord and savior and dedicated her life to him at First Church of God in Richmond Heights, under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Hatter. She also attended school in the Maplewood-Richmond Heights Community and graduated high school in 1994. Latausha always had a passion for helping people, especially when it involved children and the elderly. Over the years Latausha was noted for her outstanding work within the Webster Childcare Center network. Whether it was raising health awareness for American Kidney Association, The Heart Association, Children’s organizations, or adopting families for holidays, Latausha was always on board; ready and willing to make a difference. After leaving Webster Childcare, she started several small businesses including a variety of homemade ice creams, cookies, candles, tee shirts with quotes, and jewelry. Latausha was always busy doing something, who knows what she would create next!? She was so good at so many things and did them with an equal amount of love. Latausha was extremely caring and supportive, she wanted everyone to feel loved, and always believed there was something uniquely special about everyone. She enjoyed life and always recognized the importance of family and friends. One of Latausha’s golden rules in life was, If I can I help someone along the way, my living has not been in vain. Through her profound relationship with God, Latausha was able to genuinely love in abundance, which was one of her many special gifts. She loved to cook, laugh, travel, and talk on the phone. She shared a very special bond with her son, Jordan, and daughter, Jailyn. People were always made to feel comfortable by her sweet hospitality, delicious food, and warm laughter when visiting her home. Latausha was loyal and dedicated to her family, friends, co-workers, and community. She was always finding a way to fix someone else’s problems or a source of rescue. Latausha was proud and ready to be of aid to those she loved, even strangers. Love like this is unmatched. Latausha belonged to a traveling social club, planned and participated in family events, supported her children’s endeavors, and still managed to be a shining light in the lives of so many. On May 2, 2024, God called Latausha home to rest eternally, in his Heavenly Kingdom. She will always be remembered and treasured as a one of a kind gem. She leaves to cherish her loving children, Jordan Goliday (son) and Jailyn Goliday (daughter); beloved mother, Donetta Kee; Only Brother, David Kee Jr; Pet son – Jody; Pet grandson – Biggie Lamonte Vandross Smalls; and a host of dear aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and loving friends who will miss Latausha deeply.
