Virginia’s Life Reflection On November 22, 1930 God looked upon the earth and decided to bless William Neal and Georgia Flowers of Brighton, Tennessee with a bouncing baby girl, who they so lovely named Virginia Neal. Virginia was one of twenty-three children; she was preceded in death by all of her siblings. Virginia moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1951 to create a better life for her and her children, James Neal (who preceded her in death) and Lula Montgomery. Virginia, having only an elementary education, knew that she needed to provide for her children. She quickly learned the trade of pressing in various cleaners and uniform factories in St. Louis. She retired after 37 years of service. Two years after her retirement, Virginia decided to go back to work as a home health care aide for 3 years. On July 17, 1976, Virginia united in Holy Matrimony to John William Hill and this union lasted until his death in 1989. Virginia never remarried but decided to invest more time in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made sure they were taught in the fear and admonition of the Lord, making sure they attended church regularly. Virginia gave her life to God at an early age quickly united in fellowship with Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. As a member of Morning Star, Virginia sang in the church choir and served on the usher board. She later became a member of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board and also served in whatever capacity she was needed. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8. Virginia lived her life for God and she departed this life on February 18, 2015, knowing that she would now be present with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Virginia loved life and she loved and cherished her family more than anything. Virginia had a gift of making each person feel like they were her favorite and the diamond of her eye. Virginia lived long enough to see 4 generations of her family. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Lula Jean Montgomery, 7 grandchildren, Shirley Montgomery-Bass (Allen), Tyrone Montgomery, Reginald Montgomery (Tanya), Stacey Garner, Jay Neal, Jaymie Neal and Jene Neal, 13 great-grandchildren, Ortez Montgomery, Shikeva Montgomery, James Montgomery, Myesha Bell, Zelena Bell, Tyecia Montgomery, Journee Montgomery, Reginald Montgomery Jr., Deuntae Montgomery, Nia Montgomery, Kayla Montgomery, Michael Montgomery and Jasmine Garner, 11 great-great-grandchildren, Jamond Stallworth, Ortez Montgomery Jr., Madison Montgomery, Kaeli, Montgomery, Victor Hamilton Jr., Lauren Hamilton, Antonio Watkins Jr., Antonio Watkins III, Harmony Simpson, Dakarai Montgomery, Deylann Montgomery and a host of nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.
