Angela Marie Woods

Angela Marie Jefferson-Woods was born on May 6, 1962, to Horace Jefferson and Marjorie Clemons in St. Louis, Missouri. Both parents along with her maternal grandparents McKinley and Bettie Clemons, her paternal grandparents Glenn and Elsie Jefferson, her sister Sharon Hildreth and brother Anthony Jefferson all preceded her in death. Angie was the life of the party to all that knew her. She loved to hang out with her girlfriends from Columbia and Jefferson City. She loved to laugh and was known to give you a good laugh as she often flashed that infectious smile. She loved her family and often talked about how much she loved her four beautiful daughters and how proud she was of each and every one of them and all of those grandbabies. She would always say about all of them, “That’s GAMMA BABY.” Angie loved to shop. It didn’t matter for what, clothes, shoes, jewelry, furniture, perfumes, plants, and definitely food. Whenever family would come to visit, she would always say “Don’t forget my Zoo Zoos and Wam Wams.” The ultimate diva. To all, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Angie professed her hope in Christ at an early age. She loved the Lord and she loved to go to church. When her health began to fail her, she would watch Church Programs on TV never missing a Sunday. Sleeping with her bible under her pillow, she often found comfort listening to her gospel music before bed as she always said it gave her comfort. On November 30, 2021, God decided that it was time to give his good and faithful servant rest and he called her home. She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters – Ms. Denise Hayes, Wentzville, Missouri; Mrs. Antoinette Moore (Zell), Wentzville, Missouri; Ms. Donita Arthur, Louisville, Texas; and Ms. Alicia Woods, St. Louis, Missouri; two Sisters – Ms. Stephanie Jefferson, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Mrs. Monica Buren (Eddie), St. Louis, Missouri, eleven grandchildren – one great-granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Angela leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter that will encourage and guide her loved ones for many years with precious memories that will last a lifetime.
