Ann Sue Gomillia

Annie Sue Green Gomillia know as Ann, was born on March 2, 1942, in St. Louis to Mildred and Otis Green. She was the oldest of three. Her sister, brother, mom, and dad all preceded her in death. Her husband Robert Gomillia also preceded her death. Ann received her education from the St. Louis City public schools then graduated from Hadley Tech high school and Southern Illinois University where she got her bachelor’s degree. While in college, she worked for Charmin Tissue, after she finished college she taught school for a while. Eventually, Ann opened up a candy store. While running her store, she got married to Robert Gomillia in 1980. In 1989 Robert Gomillia passed away. In 1994 Ann worked at Hussmann Refrigerator Company. In 1995, she owned the four-family flat where she and her mom stayed. In 1996, Ann adopted seven children at the same time she opened up a daycare. Ann loved to party! Her family, her Remy, and her chicken wings, she was the life of the party. If she didn’t have her favorite stuff wasn’t no party. She loved the children and would do anything for them. Ann was a mother figure to many. She was called home on June 19, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memory: her best friend Vielia Burton, her two girls JaKeisha and China, her five sons Jimmy, Javon, Adrian, D’Angelo, and Jeffrey; her seven grandchildren Da’Morye, Jai’lee, Jaden, Damorey, Khalil, Mekhi, and Harmony; her aunts Gladys Carney from Memphis, Tennessee and Violet Turner from St. Louis, Missouri, her family, cousins, and friends.
