Delores Hayes Pitre

Delores Hayes Pitre was born to the union of Eddie and Lydia Hayes on May 8, 1942 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was the youngest of two children. Her mother, Lydia her father, Eddie, her uncle Melvin, and her beloved nephew, Walter Jr., preceded her in death. Delores confessed a hope in Christ at an early age; she was baptized at the age of thirteen in Louisiana. As a strong believer in Christ, Delores set a standard of praying daily for 45 minutes, which included Bible study; she shared her studies with her youngest daughter and granddaughter Meghann. Delores begin her education at Patrick Henry grade school in Saint Louis, Missouri and completed her education at Washington High School in Caruthersville, Missouri she was employed a Famous Barr and the Old Clarentin Hotel. Delores was joined in holy matrimony to Charles Edward Pitre; there were two children born to this union: Katherine Baines Pitre and Tracey Charlesetta Pitre. Delores Hayes Pitre was a blessed and beloved mother and was greatly interested in the lives of her grandchildren and always looked forward to seeing them grow. God called her home Friday, April 8, 2016 at 8:40 AM. Leaving to cherish her memory: two daughters, Katherine and Tracey Pitre; loving sister, Joyce (Robert) Smith; grandchildren: Meghann Lampkin, Christopher Cobbs, Alexanderia Dubois, Paige Pitre, Krystal Pitre, Lydia Pitre, and Charles Pitre II; twelve great-grandchildren, three nieces, and a host of nephews and cousins.
