Jeanette Ivy

Jeannette Ivy was born March 3, 1954 to the late Arthur Ivy and Laura Lee Ivy of Macon, Mississippi. Jeanette accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Macon, Mississippi. She was a faithful servant, loving mother, and a constant friend. Jeanette graduated from B. F. Lindell High School and later on receiving a certificate in Childcare at the Vocational Training Center. She moved to Saint Louis, Missouri where she was a supervisor for White Castle for 15 years then became a driver for Bi-State Development Call-A-Ride #109. She became a member of the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of R.T. Davis, James C. Davis, Pastor Henry Crump and Dr. L.D. Tate. Jeanette departed this Life August 2, 2017 at Village North Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Annette Ivy, and her half-sister Arie B. Ivy. She leaves to cherish her legacy: her sons Lorenzo Ivy and Javon Wesley; five brothers James Ivy, Willie (Sherry) Ivy, O.C. (Elzena) Ivy, Bennie Ivy of Macon, Mississippi and Julius Ivy of Saint Louis, Missouri and also a half-brother Arthur Ivy Jr. of Meridian, Mississippi; two sisters Frances (Lou) Wallace of Bartlett, Illinois and Marylou Rice of Macon, Mississippi; two grandchildren Loryn Ivy and Cavon Wesley of Saint Louis, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends.
