Pamela Joyce Grant

“I Can Imagine No Heroism Greater Than Motherhood” Pamela Joyce Grant was born November 25, 1961, in Saint Louis, Missouri to parents Vergie Ellis and Leo Wolford. Pamela, or as some would refer to her as Pammy or Pam Bowlie, graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 1980. She went on to earn a Bachelors from Concordia University. From there she continued her education earning a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Webster University. From a previous union, Pamela brought three children into the world. Jeremy, Vasquez Jr, and Brittany Grant. Pamela was well known for her skills in the kitchen. She was indeed one of the best cooks in the family. She’s well known for her dressing on the holidays, chicken and dumplings, and oxtail stew. Pamela enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, as she often shared stories about her children and grandbabies. Amongst her family and friends she‘s known for being a jokester and pulling a prank on someone. One of her favorite hobbies was watching TV, especially movies. She often quoted Forest Gump, one of her favorite movies. She also considered herself to be a plant mom. Growing and nurturing many plants throughout the years. Her plant babies, as she called them, will continue on with her daughter Brittany. Professionally, Pamela's career path was always in the medical field. For many years she worked as an EKG Technician at St Louis University Hospital. She continued on her career path working many years for Biomedical Systems as a Project Manager Spiritually, Pamela read books about personal growth and self-love. She kept her bible close and would write small prayers in a journal. Prayer kept her lifted in dark times. Small fond memories of Pamela are she absolutely loved watching Track n Field on TV; it was her favorite to watch during the Olympics. She enjoyed going bowling and reading about astrology. She is survived by: her three children, oldest is Jeremy T. Grant, Vasquez L. Grant, and her youngest Brittany V. Grant. She’s also survived by 7 grandchildren: Joshua, Hailey, Kenzlie, Riley, Rafael, Phenix, and Zari. Siblings: Jarrold Gray, Kenneth Gray, Sharon Robinson(Gray), Darryl Gray, Steven and Stacey Welch.
